Greetings from Lake Windermere!

It is 14° with light rain and a gentle breeze from the south.

Etsy listing photography day!

It's not always easy but has to be done! Yes, it was listing photo day today. The daylight wasn't as good as I'd hoped for but I had to work with what I was given!

This was my photo set up

I put a sheet of ivory printer paper on my The Beadsmith macrame board and placed it on a chair. I arranged some pieces of slate on the paper to lend an organic feel. Next I positioned my Olivia2 overhead phone stand on a little table and took a couple of test shots to check the composition.

For a first go, I was happy with the photos. They are decent enough for me to use on my Etsy listings when I re-launch the Lakeland Loom shop, and can always be re-done when there's better light and I have improved my skills.

It's been a busy day and I am ready for a cup of tea!

Touristy frolics in Grasmere and Keswick

Last week I had a welcome opportunity to play tourist for a few days! We visited Grasmere one day and Keswick the next. I received many treats! Read on to see the wonderful things I came home with.

So glad to find this silver music ring at Soraya Vintage's market stall (I had one in the 90's!) 

So happy Magpie at Maysons is still there! It doesn't look any different than it did in the 90's! (Who misses the 90's?!!) 

Then the next day at Bowness Glebe market we saw the lovely Natasha from Soraya again and I got these beautiful earrings. 

It was fun to be an honorary tourist in the Lake District! It was wonderful to spend time with two special people and be treated to so many gorgeous things. You know who you are and I appreciate you 😍😍

New wooden bracelet display stand - arrived today!

Sorry there was no 'Windermere Webcam Wednesday' yesterday! I was waiting all day for a new bracelet stand but the delivery never turned up. Well, EVRi do that to us sometimes don't they?! Anyway, my parcel turned up bright and early this morning and I was delighted with what was inside so all's well that ends well. Here's what it is:

I love Munbyn!

My printer packed up recently so I decided to treat myself to a thermal label printer. I looked on groups and forums to see what was a good make and saw lots of people recommending Munbyn. I sent for a pretty pink and purple model from Amazon and I loved it straight away! I was so impressed with it I sent for extra labels, a stand and a label holder. A few days later I saw they also make postal scales so I treated myself to a pink set to replace the ones I'd had for years (they still worked so I donated them to the charity shop for someone else to benefit from).

Munbyn present their products so nicely.

I love my label printer!

I bought some round labels to design my own stickers.
